Lori Klassen

I grew up in a small town near Winnipeg, Manitoba in a Mennonite community. My first career was in singing, both opera and oratorio, which was what brought me to Toronto. About fifteen years ago, I was wandering through Bloor West village and a sign caught my eye. It advertised an art school called “Art for the Terrified”. For fun, I took a beginner acrylics course, and discovered a passion and aptitude for painting. Since then, I’ve studied and practiced both decorative and fine art. I had the opportunity to work with Candice Olson on both Divine Design and Candice Tells All. And now I have a great little studio/gallery space in the Distillery District in Toronto, where I work on both paintings and drawings. I happily accept commissions and am often hired to work on pieces that symbolize big transitions in people’s lives.
