Kim Paquet

Kim is a French-Canadian metalsmith and contemporary jewellery who started her journey as a jeweller in 2014 at Ecole de Joaillerie de Montreal. She pursued her studies at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts majoring in jewellery design and metalsmithing. She is recently awarded the Harbourfront Centre scholarship where she is a full-time artist-in-residence in Toronto. Kim has shown her work in Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver, as well as Rome, Portugal, France and the United States.

She had worked with people experiencing homelessness and addiction at the same time she started her studies in jewellery. In her adornment, she digs into the complex feelings associated with these years as a social worker. She uses industrial and raw materials in both rough strokes and refined movements to create compelling pieces of jewellery.
