Reaching for the Sky

Kate Taylor

I loved the woodgrain on this one - it was so dramatic and felt like water ripples. As a result, I didn't want to cover too much of the stained background. As I was painting "Reaching for the Sky", I felt the cool colours seemed to be reaching for the sunshine.
