K MacLean

The HMCS WRINKLE was steam powered submersible as one can plainly see with the turbine driving hot water carried through the outer hull piping. However upon its maiden voyage it was discovered that the cold Atlantic waters cooled the piping within 20 m of depth and the submersible sank like a stone to the ocean floor. The vessel and its distinctive slightly flat, irritating and quite frankly ominously unnerving warning horn would ruin a morning coffee.
