Dana Korre

Toronto
Dana Korre is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist that completed her BFA at OCAD University in 2015. Dana’s body of work consists of three dimensional painting techniques utilizing resin imitations of elements found in the natural world. These artworks showcase different types of layering methods to create illusions of depth and reality.

This year the artist is working on a theme of plastic waste during Covid 19. All the pieces have cut up plastic incorporated in them, promoting the mindset of repurposing material especially considering the environmental consequences of the past year due to the pandemic. Each artwork represents elements of the earth and focuses on the ocean's plastic pollution that has increased significantly because of Covid 19 factors.
