Dana Korre

Dana Korre is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist that completed her BFA at OCAD University in 2015. Dana’s body of work consists of three dimensional painting techniques utilizing resin to create imitations of elements found in the natural world. These artworks showcase different types of layering methods to create illusions of depth and reality.

This year the artist is working with the theme of plastic waste during Covid 19. All the pieces have cut up plastic incorporated in them, advocating the mindset of repurposing materials especially considering the environmental consequences of the past year due to the pandemic. Each artwork represents elements of the earth and focuses on the ocean's plastic pollution that has increased significantly because of Covid 19 factors. You will find that these pieces approach the subject matter in different ways while modeling the relationship between nature and pollution.
