Bryan Blanger

Toronto
Belanger uses a quill and ink to create this art series comparing tattoos to the coloration of animals. Coloration displays sexual status, warns others of danger, mimics other species, and for camouflage. Where animals are born with their markings, Belanger is fascinate by why people choose their coloration to express their love interest, heritage, nation flags, sport teams, musical tastes, love of art, tribes, gangs, or just to blend in to our city landscapes.
