botanical portrait: rumex crispus ll

Tania Love

Rumex Crispus is commonly known as curly dock.
It’s a formidable host for Lepidoptera.
Edible and high in Vitamin A, C, iron & potassium along with a number of other properties it is used in herbalism & homeopathic treatments. Does its positive qualities make up for its “invasive” designation.
What’s a weed, what’s a plant? What do we want to cultivate and make room for?

Work is ready to hang and the edges are left a natural wood colour.
