Using ink, paint and clay is how I make sense of the world. Gathering the whirling elements of life both within and beyond my control—all of the impressions, the interactions, and the associated emotional responses—and bringing them to a blank slate upon which I can process the overwhelming chaos to transform it all into something tangible, giving it a structure that makes sense to me, allowing me to breathe, is why I make art. Making something beautiful out of all the noise of life grounds me. Those clean surfaces, the corners and borders within which I can quiet my mind through the tip of a pen, brush or finger is where I find peace.

The pieces displayed here are all made with a mix of acrylic and Watercolor ink on paper.
