Using skills learned in Sheridan College's Bachelor of Craft and Design program, my artistic practice focuses on repurposing cast-off toys and miscellany to create objets d'art that celebrate form, function and pattern.

In an effort to minimize my footprint, I am constantly digging through thrift stores looking for aesthetically pleasing and well designed toys. They call to me from their hiding places, telling me to bring them home. Toys immediately transport us to a time when life was simpler, a time that brought us joy.

There is a soothing comfort found in the patterns and forms that I see when I look at toys. They are more than just parts to me. They are beautiful curve, line and shape and the very soul of my work.
