My art jewellery practise is concerned with the use of line and colour, and how the intersection of these elements define form. With a background in classical music composition, I made the transition to fine metal five years ago after obtaining a jewellery certificate from George Brown College. My work is rooted in the craft tradition of gold smithing and is abstract and process oriented, using fabrication and lost-wax casting.

I see my art practise as a continuation of the lines of enquiry I was exploring in music composition: the use of repetition, line, and colour in an ongoing exploration of abstract form. My art jewellery has been exhibited throughout Ontario.

In addition to creating work for exhibition, I also make limited-edition production jewellery sold through my label: atelier J fine jewellery. Through atelier J, I design and develop distinctive collections of bold, contemporary jewellery that can be purchased in boutiques and online at:
