Mary-Ann Alberga (b. 1974) is a Canadian visual artist based in Burlington, Ontario, who works with the language, materials and processes of painting, pyrography, printmaking and woodworking.

She is a graduate of OCAU (BFA Drawing & Painting 2011) and YorkU (BA English 1998). Her practice seeks to synthesize and expand on her lifelong studies in literature, history, philosophy, psychology, art and craft.

The painted portraits are ongoing meditation on the nature of love, friendship and memory in our relationships with each other and with domestic animal companions.

The burnt and carved landscapes explore the physiological, psychological and symbolic spaces that both natural and artificial sources of light can create in the dark of night.
