This piece shows how Mohammed Naguib, first president of the Egyptian Republic, was erased from history and forgotten (Along with his ambitions of democratic reform) after being put under house arrest by the following president Nasser. It references Pharaonic pictorial elements of power and victory, in order to frame Naguib as a perceived enemy of the state.
