Jeremie Warshafsky is a visual artist based in Toronto. His work examines the tensions between humans and their environment, concepts of landscape, and urban issues related to the built form. He holds a BSc in Environmental Biology from Queens University and an MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson University. He has exhibited works at Prefix ICA, Contact Festival and Smokestack Studios in Hamilton. His images have appeared in Architectural Digest, The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star.

"There for Scale" examines the geographical and historical development of Toronto’s Port Lands. The images are collages of aerial and ground photos, layered into a single composite to create intriguing yet jarring visuals – both realistic and filled with deliberate stitching "errors." Drawing on ideas of mapping, the work is interested in examining the human and environmental changes of the site over time. The images are printed in large format to highlight topographical detail in the work.
