Jamileh received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Iran. Her work spans over three decades and has been featured in over 50 solo or group exhibitions. She has taught art, written some articles about Post Modern art, feminism and pluralism. Jamileh was selected to participate in the International Symposium Painting and Sculpture Saguenay-Quebec 2014. She introduced her work to audiences at 57th and 58th Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and has succeeded in earning the Toronto Arts Council grant. Currently, she is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) and Akin Project. Her figurative works depict meditations on femininity and discovering the concept of relationships, death and birth. Contradictory concepts such as hope, loneliness, and migration always keep her engaged. She splits her time between creating new series of paintings, doing independent illustration and fibre art.
