My paintings focus on the forms, people, and colours of the urban environment.

I'm particularly interested in middle grounds where wild though everyday elements of human culture and "popular architecture" intersect with equally wild elements of nature, and things get nuanced.

I'm also keenly interested in community and our sense of togetherness, and how this can be explored visually through painting.

I typically work on birch panel using acrylic, spray paint, and whatever unorthodox tools I can get my hands on, approaching the work in both an abstract and representational manner.

Educated at York University and the University of Toronto, I currently split my year between Guelph and Los Angeles, where my partner is a history professor.
