Isabella Varrasso is an artist and designer based in Toronto who hates typing in the third person. In 2020, she graduated from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College joint Art & Art History program with a specialization in drawing and design. Her fine art practice is mostly installation-based and deals with ideas of surface and its relationship with typography. In doing this she explores how viewing and seeing equal understanding and how legibility and illusion through typography create meaning. Inspiration stems from a feeling of anxiousness in creating ‘good art’ and what that would require her to say.

More recently in her design practice, she has found an interest in music merchandising and her personal work explores branding, internet culture, perception, and appropriation through the lens of humour and personal experience.
