Award-winning jewellery designer Amanda Henderson channels her passion for equality and sustainability into artful fine jewellery, taking inspiration from the way movement is captured through light and shadow. By experimenting with the properties of solid metal, she turns seemingly-rigid strips of metal into soft, undulating, and flowing shapes.

Over the last decade, Amanda's designs have evolved, pushing the boundaries of art without compromising structure, functionality, and beauty. The result is exquisitely-crafted fine jewellery that whispers to something deep within each of us. Currently, her work explores aspects of systemic racism and its impact on BIPOC through contrasts of light and dark, movement and restriction, and how notions of beauty can liberate—or oppress—us.

After graduating from George Brown's Jewellery and Gemology programs in 2009, Amanda received a scholarship for an artist residency at the Harbourfront Centre. She now co-owns Goldspell Studio in Toronto.
